What the book was about:

A Series of Unfortunate Events is about three children (Sonny, Violet and Klaus). You follow in their footsteps as their lives go through ups and downs since a tragic accident occurred changing their lives for ever......

…It was a normal day windy and wet, the three children had gone to the beach but little did they know somebody was about to turn up, altering the way they live with four tragic words. Little did they know, they were soon to be part of an evil scheme, all because of the fortune they are about to inherit. All of this would be down to one man, so cold-hearted you would not believe it, even if you saw it happen right before your eyes.

Your heart will pump with adrenaline. Your eyes will fill with tears. You will shout and scream at how unfair things are. But you will not put the book down no matter how many times you are told.

What you liked about it:

I enjoyed this book because the characters have their own hobbies and voice their own emotions, rather than the author just dictating what they do. Their feelings are so strong, it is surprising when you think that these children are only a figment of imagination. But this figment of imagination has been brought to life in a most stunning way by Lemony Snicket; he has managed to play with your emotions with the way he talks about the characters, and all of their surroundings are made to make you feel like you could get in a car and go to all the properties the Baudelaire children once lived in.
